Renting floor mats usually means a "low monthly fee." This can seem like a good deal upfront with no capital investment. You sign up for the service and you never have to think about it again. The dirty mats are picked up regularly and clean mats are installed. About six months down the road you pull out the invoices and the "low monthly fee" is not quite as cost-effective as you thought. Typically rented mats are very low quality or "throwaway" type mats. They are designed to become grimy in a short window so you see the value in the rental service. The ends tend to roll up and the entire reason you rented the mats (to help keep the facility clean and safe by preventing slips) is lost.
Purchasing high-quality floor mats is a more cost-effective approach. These mats are much more durable and designed to last years, not months.
